Game Design & Coding

Learn the fundamentals of game design and coding as you create interactive worlds and design engaging features from scratch.

Advanced Gameplay

Take your skills to the next level by developing advanced strategies, enhancing creativity, and crafting unique experiences.

The Campers’ Day

Campers participate in four 1.5 hour modules designed to boost gaming skills, creativity, and teamwork. The day also includes lunch, recess, and a snack break to keep campers energized and engaged.

Sample Daily Schedule:

Optional Early Morning Drop-Off: Begins at 8:00 a.m.

8:50–9:00 a.m.: Arrival at Camp
Campers check in and start the day with a morning briefing and fun icebreaker activities.

9:00–10:30 a.m.: Module 1 – Competitive Skills & Strategy
Master advanced tactics, improve building skills, and engage in exciting competitions.

10:30–12:00 p.m.: Module 2 – Engineering & Mechanics
Dive into creative building challenges and collaborate on team projects.

12:00–1:00 p.m.: Lunch & Recess
Enjoy a supervised lunch break followed by time to relax, socialize, and recharge.

1:00–2:30 p.m.: Module 3 – Advanced Gameplay
Enhance gameplay with strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and custom game design.

2:30–2:45 p.m.: Snack Break
Refuel with a quick snack and connect with friends before the final module.

2:45–4:15 p.m.: Module 4 – Game Design & Coding
Learn coding basics and create interactive games and worlds in a collaborative setting.

4:15–4:30 p.m.: Dismissal & Camper Pickup
Campers must be picked up by 4:30 p.m.

Optional Extended Day: From 4:30–6:00 p.m. (available upon request).

About us

The idea of a camp for gamers started with our 7-year-old son, Max. Like so many kids his age, Max loves games like Minecraft and Roblox, and he spends hours talking about strategies, building epic creations, and imagining new ways to play. One day, he asked us a simple question: “Can I go to a camp where I can get better at these games?”

As parents, we were determined to find something perfect for him. But Max uses a wheelchair, and the options for camps he could attend were incredibly limited. That’s when we realized something important: Max didn’t just want a camp; he wanted a place where his passion for gaming could grow, where he could connect with other kids who loved the same things, and where his creativity and skills could truly shine. So, we decided to create it ourselves.

Gamer Camp Westchester is built on the belief that every child deserves a space to explore their passions, push their limits, and have an amazing summer. Whether they’re learning advanced gaming strategies, discovering the power of coding, or just having fun with new friends, we want every camper to feel empowered and inspired—just like Max.
